CLERK OF WORKS/SITE INSPECTOR

Grade F (£23,708 - 26,276 pa)

Experienced, hands on Clerk of Works required to join a forward looking, dynamic Gloucester team in a wide and varied role. You will be on the front-line inspecting and supervising repairs, maintenance and high profile construction projects, supporting a multi-disciplinary in-house team of surveyors & engineers and external architects. We currently have an exciting range of upcoming flagship projects ranging from education facilities in listed museum properties to community and catering developments.

The successful applicant will:-

• Have a proven track record of undertaking Site Supervision and Inspection of complex programmes and keeping records
• Have a wide understanding of construction design, maintenance problems, legal requirements & associated issues
• Have a proven ability of identifying and implementing practical cost effective design solutions for non-complex smaller projects
• Have superb customer service skills and an ability to carry through effective negotiations and achieve best value solutions
• Be self reliant, physically fit and have a head for heights.
